Using found objects to create a new ontology for how we construct our world.

Instruments Made With Spaceship Parts is a series of musical instruments mined from the debris of American popular culture, assembled to forge a new syntax and sound. Barely sonorous and yet dignified, each unique instrument explores the upper and lower limits of technology and the boundaries of expression. Instruments Made With Spaceship Parts creates a new ontology for repurposing found objects. It is a body of work that combines found object assemblage and painting with sculpture and performance. It is a DIY manifesto, a proof-of-concept, and a call-to-action for this new vernacular.
